Meet Brandon and Alicia! Married for almost 10 years and raising their family in New York. 👋🏾👋🏾
Brandon is New York (Hempstead, Strong Island to be specific) to the core 💪🏾 — quick-witted, easy going and one degree from EVERYBODY. Alicia is Jamaican (but a true Miami Girlie) and brings Caribbean roots 🌴, creative energy, strong opinions (white rum strong) and a deep love for community and family 🫶🏾.
Together, they bring humor, faith, heart, and honest conversation to Callaloo and Collard Greens — a podcast about love, identity, and the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic) blend of Black cultures.
Aliyah & Omar
Meet Aliyah and Omar!
Married for almost 7 years and raising their family in North Carolina. 👋🏾👋🏽
Aliyah is a native New Yorker with Strong Island grit 💪🏾 and southern charm 👒 — bold and compassionate with a heart for justice. Omar brings Caribbean spice 🌶️ (think scotch bonnet hot pepper sauce), a discerning spirit, and a deep commitment to service ✊🏽. They're explosive fun AND will get the work done (perhaps they learned that at the real HU 👀).
Together, they bring laughter, intention, joy, and conscious conversation to Callaloo and Collard Greens — a podcast about love, identity, and the beautiful (and sometimes chaotic) blend of Black cultures.
